Aviation's digital transformation is stalled by a selection problem, not a technology shortage. Hundreds of software vendors serve maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), flight operations, and supply-chain functions, yet operators have no structured way to identify which tools fit their fleet, systems, and regulatory environment.
Procurement is driven by word-of-mouth and trade-show contact, producing long sales cycles, mismatched deployments, and abandoned implementations.
Solution Finder is a matching engine that closes this gap. It works in three layers.
-
First, a structured requirements layer captures an operator's profile through a guided assessment — fleet type, operation (airline, MRO, OEM, lessor), incumbent systems, integration constraints, and the specific problem being solved.
-
Second, a curated vendor layer holds a normalized, vetted catalogue of aviation software providers, each indexed against a common taxonomy of capabilities, certifications, integration standards, and deployment models.
-
Third, a matching layer scores and ranks providers against the captured requirements, returning a shortlist of fit-justified recommendations rather than an undifferentiated directory.
What makes this novel is the taxonomy itself. Aviation software has never had a shared, structured map linking real operational pain points to vetted solutions.
Solution Finder builds that map: a proprietary classification of MRO and operations problems, mapped to a continuously vetted provider set. This converts an opaque, relationship-driven procurement process into a transparent, data-driven one — the first decision-support layer purpose-built for aviation software selection.
The system is produced as a cloud-based web platform. The requirements assessment is delivered through a lightweight quiz interface; the vendor catalogue and taxonomy are maintained in a structured data backend; the matching logic ranks providers and routes qualified, intent-verified leads to the relevant vendor. Because it is software, it deploys without hardware, scales across regions, and improves as catalogue and outcome data accumulate.
Applications span the entire aviation aftermarket. Airlines and independent MROs use it to select maintenance, records, and inventory systems; OEMs and lessors use it to evaluate digital tooling for fleets and assets; software vendors use it to reach qualified buyers at the moment of intent. The same engine supports thought leadership, webinars, and a vendor portal, making it connective infrastructure for the aviation software ecosystem.
The advance is structural: Solution Finder treats vendor selection as an engineering problem, requirements capture, classification, and scored matching, and solves it for an industry where mis-selection carries safety, compliance, and cost consequences. By accelerating correct software adoption, it directly advances the digital transformation of a sector that still runs critical operations on paper and disconnected legacy systems.
