The AAF system is squadrons of low-cost, mass-produced, autonomous electrically-powered "eTanker" aircraft with high lift-to-drag ratios that can perform Extremely Short Take-off and Landings (ESTOL) with ultra-quiet propulsion that enables high-proximity aviation, with autonomous interoperable dock loading with quick turnaround times enabled by use of payload-agnostic carts. These dual purpose aircraft operate from a ubiquitous network of small 3-acre airparks equipped with fire suppression stations, and networked with low-earth orbit satellites that provide early detection and geo-location of fires to auto-dispatch in rapid succession (every 6 seconds) a fleet of eTankers each of which flies to and empties their its water tank(s) to effectively douse nascent wildfires.
Its advantages are: A nearly-continuous aerial 'spray can' that can drop 20X more liquid/hour than present VLATs. The prevention of massive emissions of smoke and SLCPs, especially black carbon. Elimination of mass evacuations. Detection, dispatch & on-scene arrival 3-4X faster than the present air attack system. 20X lower vehicle costs with robotically mass-produced new eTankers replacing today's aging fossil-fueled VLATs.
Uncrewed eTankers means no shortage of pilots, no pilots at risk, and safe firefighting at night and in heavy smoke. Confidence in the containment and control of future use of prescribed fires.
