The HVP-500 interceptor up to Mach 9 using the Green Launch Light-Gas Launch System and makes the Golden Dome Affordable.

The Green Launch’s HVP-500's interceptor has a 500 km range which allows for early, high speed, intercept compared to the more costly THAAD or Patriot systems with 150 km range at $12.6M, $4M cost respectively.

Example: Since Qadr or Emad missiles fly at 3.77 km/sec it takes approximately 7 minutes for them to travel 1600 km from Tehran, Iran to Tel Aviv, Israel. At that velocity, the "Dome" radar or satellites has 2 minutes to detect and track the missile during boost and the first 500 km of flight. At that time, the HVP-500 (5 interceptors) Flechette ($0.5M) is launched to intercept the incoming Emad missile 2.8 minutes later at 500 km from Tel Aviv. What if they miss? Detect and launch a second HVP-500 salvo ($0.5M) to intercept at 200 km.

We have had 10 opportunities to intercept the incoming missile for $1M and we still have the THAAD ($25M since they are usually shot in pairs to achieve a probability of kill (pk) of .98) waiting at 150 km if anything gets through.

  • Missile Defense Mach 9 Interceptor HVP-500 (Hyper Velocity Projectile) System can deliver 2 flechette rounds per minute with 5 interceptors per round equaling 10 interceptors/minute. A battery of 10 launchers delivers 100 interceptors/minute.

  • 24 lb HVP Interceptors at Mach 9 have a 500 km range and 300 km altitude. Can perform endo or exo intercepts of missiles and aircraft.

  • The HVP-500 Interceptors + Launcher cost, amortize to $220K per intercept within 100 launches. (Launcher + HVP Interceptor)

  • Uses existing Radar and Tracking including Sea Based X-Band Radar and LongRange Discrimination Radar

  • Breakthrough MOXI technology enables safe, Mach 9, ballistic launch with a Combustion Light Gas Gun

  • The USA can be protected with 20 Golden Dome HVP-500 Launcher Batteries for $12B.

  • Taiwan or Ukraine with 2 Launcher Batteries and $3B + Radar/Sensor/C2BM costs

  • Each HVP-500 Unitary round with a radar seeker and 44 lb warhead is launched at Mach 7

  • Peak acceleration is 90% of the exhaust

  • This allows launches with minimal thermal signature. Green Launch can obtain 99.9% recovery.

  • The muffler also allows one to recycle the hydrogen since only a fraction is burned each shot
