IMAGINE A CRACKED INSULATION ON A WIRE SELF-REPAIRING--MUCH LIKE A CUT ON YOUR FINGER.

Approximately one third of the 46,700 annual residential electrical fires are attributed to wire insulation issues. Furthermore, electrical issues are a leading cause of boat fires and are often implicated in fires in ground and air vehicles. Wiring insulation and conductors are susceptible to aging, damage (due to abrasion, flexing, tension, maintenance and inspection handling, and even animals), and degradation due to the environment and chemical exposure. These issues affect electrical systems including those found in air, water and ground vehicles, and both portable and stationary electrical equipment. Even when not causing fires, these issues routinely affect major systems.

INTRODUCING Power Activated Technology for Conductor Healing® (P.A.T.C.H.)

An entirely new solution is PATCH, which is a multipurpose chemical coating for electrical wire and surface protection which works as a temporary fix to maintain conductivity in mission critical systems. PATCH is non-toxic, water soluble and harmless to surrounding equipment.

PATCH can be applied via brush or spray as either a corrective or preventive measure for critical wiring systems. Whether used on frayed wires during repair or intact wiring during assembly, PATCH continually restores insulation, eliminates active shorts and prevents future ones. With its self-healing capabilities, PATCH offers ongoing defense against short-induced electrical fires. PATCH works by inhibiting dendrite growth on wires.

Developed for the USAF, PATCH is a new product, with no competing nor similar products. As such, PATCH will be a valuable addition to commercial and government entities. It enhances commercial wire/cabling and battery markets, marine electronics, and wet/outdoor environment electronics. PATCH enhances system safety by minimizing fire risk, mitigating mission failure, and safeguarding lives from electrical incidents. It is effective at a variety of voltages, effective up to 270 VDC, 440 VAC, up to 800Hz.

PATCH is now being readied to market to (Allied) military, original equipment and wire manufacturers, service and repair technicians, and do-it-yourself consumers. It is offered in translucent or color versions, and brush-on or spray versions.

Our next step is to formulate PATCH to be placed on the wire prior to insulation molding...to lie underneath and ready to spring into action when needed.
