Livox NeuroAdaptive AAC is a software-based assistive communication system that turns low-cost Android tablets into personalized communication devices for people who cannot speak and cannot reliably use standard touch interfaces. Unlike conventional AAC apps that present large static grids and assume accurate touch, fixed scanning, or expensive dedicated hardware, Livox continuously adapts communication access to each user’s motor, visual, cognitive, auditory, behavioral, and language profile.
The system works through four integrated layers. First, an adaptive access layer interprets imprecise motor input: accidental touches, tremors, delayed responses, repeated taps, scanning selections, external switches, and intentional blinking. Second, a communication intelligence layer reduces the number of choices shown at any moment by using context, routines, vocabulary history, time, location, and conversational intent to predict what the user is likely trying to say. Third, an AI-assisted content layer helps families, teachers, and therapists generate personalized boards, stories, lessons, quizzes, and social messages without needing specialized AAC programming skills. Fourth, a learning and care layer records progress across communication and educational activities so teams can adjust supports over time.
The novelty is not a single screen of symbols; it is a neuroadaptive access engine that bridges the gap between human intention and digital selection for users whose bodies do not move predictably. A child with cerebral palsy may hit near the desired card rather than on it. An autistic student may need fewer options and predictable routines. A person with severe motor limitations may access language only through scanning or intentional blinking. Livox brings these pathways into one system and personalizes them instead of forcing users to fit the interface.
Production is highly scalable. Livox is distributed as software for commercially available Android tablets, using standard cloud infrastructure for content, management, and updates. This avoids the cost and supply limitations of proprietary hardware while allowing schools, clinics, governments, and families to deploy the platform quickly. Implementation requires tablets, training, and subscription-based software access; no custom manufacturing is required.
Applications include special education, rehabilitation, speech-language therapy, home care, hospitals, and inclusive digital learning. The market includes millions of non-speaking children and adults with cerebral palsy, autism, intellectual disabilities, aphasia, traumatic brain injury, and degenerative conditions.
