GenesisTissue Inc. (GTI), founded in 2024, is a Colorado-based, women-led advanced manufacturing and bioscience company developing personalized medical devices to transform reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. GTI leverages 3D printing, regenerative biomaterials, and patient-specific design to deliver a holistic approach to personalized health—combining presurgical planning tools and devices with implantable technologies that actively support healing and tissue regeneration. Ultimately GTI’s goal is to redefine personalized care so that it works with each patient’s unique biology, not around it.

GTI’s first target market is breast reconstruction. Breast-altering surgeries represent a large and underserved clinical need. Each year in the United States, more than 300,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Roughly 60% undergo breast-conserving surgery (lumpectomy), which frequently results in permanent deformities with no available implant solutions. An additional ~40% undergo procedures with larger tissue removal (mastectomy), where silicone implant reconstruction options have high complication rates, poor patient satisfaction, no biological integration, and frequent removal or replacement. In parallel, on average ~310,000 cosmetic breast augmentations are performed in the USA each year using silicone implants, with ~41,000 implant removals each year from complications and dissatisfaction. The US breast implant market is estimated to be $800M and the global breast implant market to be $2.3B. Currently, this market size does not service lumpectomy patients.

GTI’s flagship technology, Regenerative Breast Tissue (RBT), is a personalized, degradable, bioprinted scaffold designed to support autologous or allogeneic fat transfer while guiding tissue regeneration. Unlike permanent silicone implants, RBT provides temporary mechanical support before gradually degrading and being replaced by the patient’s own tissue. The result is a fully biological, integrated reconstruction or augmentation tailored to each patient’s anatomy and surgical needs. For surgeons and patients this mean improved surgical accuracy, reduced complications, and superior long-term outcomes. Beyond breast applications, the underlying biomaterial and manufacturing platform may expand into additional soft tissue reconstruction and wound healing applications.

RBT competes against the status quo of permanent, non-regenerative silicone implants. No regenerative breast implant is currently commercially available, though several early movers outside the US are developing alternatives each with unique downsides in patient comfort, degradation time, and scalability. We believe our technology sets itself apart and checks all clinicians and patient’s product requirements determined from an initial voice of customer survey. RBT has shown promise in benchtop and preclinical testing demonstrating degradability, biocompatibility, and fat in growth (in non-degradable scaffold).

Early benchtop and preclinical studies have demonstrated promising degradability, biocompatibility, and tissue ingrowth characteristics, supporting the feasibility of the technology. The company is developing a scalable, modular manufacturing platform using advanced 3D bioprinting workflows that enable high customization without sacrificing manufacturability. The leadership team brings extensive experience in personalized medical manufacturing, including oversight of more than one million 3D-printed medical implants and over 100,000 patient-specific surgical planning and anatomical modeling cases worldwide. We believe in our idea, technology, and team and can’t wait to redefine personalized care. By replacing permanent synthetic implants with personalized regenerative solutions, GTI aims to redefine the future of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.
