Traditional plant-based resins or gums will help us to clean the polluted atmosphere in the cities. Also scope of large number of rural employment opportunities all over the world.
We need few innovative but simple methods to capture various type of ambient air pollutants and remove them permanently from the atmosphere sink-tank system.
Proposed SIVAYU system works like an add-on feature introduced on two of the most detrimental pollution generating sectors, namely Transportation and Construction.
SIVAYU system 1 : by using Transportation segmentSIVAYU
SIVAYU system adaptation on transport vehicle sector will add another important utility function to it as a mobile ambient air cleaning device together with their existing functional purposes for transportation of humane being and materials.
It is also recommended to stop traditional manual road sweeping operations (by using brooms), as manual sweeping action blows away more airborne dust than any effective reduction action.
All types of new generation Electric Vehicle including futuristic Hydrogen fuel vehicle should also make this provision to clean ambient air by utilising their passenger cabin air conditioning air filtration systems.
There are large number of Metro Rails and Mono Rails are in operation at various city centres (downtown zones with high concentration of air pollutions), their coaches too can be modified with Sivayu system add-on feature for harvesting clean air by upgrading their air filtration systems.
SIVAYU system 2 : using Construction segment
At present, construction sites dust (in the form of PM10 & PM2.5) arresting mitigation practices are followed by using nets or by 20/30 feet tall corrugated sheet-metal wall partitions or by water mist spraying arrangements.
The application of final coat of bio-degradable Sivayu gel paintings on all building exterior walls can be made mandatory, considering its immense health benefits to the public directly and indirectly benefits to the overall environment system.
At a later stage, advanced research study can be conducted to develop suitable Metal-Organic-Framework (MOF, yr-2025 Nobel Prize winning topic in Chemistry) based materials to separate out unwanted atmospheric gases like CO2, CO, NO2, NH3, O3 & SO2 as well as PM2.5 particulate matters.
We can also spray this Sivayu semiliquid adhesive material on all roadside tree leaves to hold floating wind dust particulate matters firmly enough till next rain water drains it off away through city sewerage system.
It is also suggested to build water fountains at all crowded city centres. Water spray in the air will help to capture and remove airborne dust materials instantly to a greater extent, these water bodies can be built and maintained under CSR activities by nearby establishments or industrial units.
It is time that we stop considering this abundant atmospheric air mass of huge capacity as sink-tank to dump all airborne dirt and gases.
It is also essential that every one of us must take responsibility to clean ambient air as well as water bodies, particularly well, pond, dam, river, and sea or other natural resources.
It should be introduced at the earliest for betterment of global air quality for all living beings as well as to the nature.
