The HOME DRONEST (Drone Nest) represents an evolution designed to meet the growing demand for drone-based delivery services for food, medicine, and other products. It is innovative because it elevates the relationship between delivery drones and customers to a new level of autonomy and security.
The DRONEST is a metal box with two openings installed on a home's exterior wall: one facing the interior of the house and the other facing the outside. The DRONEST and the drones "communicate" via AI-controlled commands.
To place an order, the user employs a mobile app to select an item, specify their DRONEST's capacity (in cubic meters), provide their geolocation and the unit's access key, and complete the digital payment.
When an authorized drone approaches the DRONEST, the external opening slides open and a tray extends outward. The drone deposits the package onto the platform and flies away. The tray then retracts, and the opening closes automatically. From inside the home, the user retrieves their package through the internal opening.
This concept solves the issue of convenience, eliminating the need to wait for a drone to land in one's yard or on a terrace. Furthermore, not all houses and apartments can receive drone deliveries, as many lack a safe landing area.
Key benefits include security, convenience, and full process automation. Users can even place orders while away from home—for instance, while returning from work—ensuring a fresh dinner is waiting for them upon arrival.
The use of delivery drones is an irreversible trend likely to be adopted across various economic sectors. They simplify people's lives and serve as an alternative to motorcycle delivery couriers.
Current drone delivery methods are often rudimentary, requiring the customer to wait for the device's arrival. The DRONEST offers greater security for both individual customers and businesses. Only a registered user can open the Dronest’s internal window to retrieve an order or authorize a drone to approach for a delivery.
