1) The idea conceptualizes a smart canvas that enables a manufacturing solution architect to design an optimum new product through regenerative process keeping a balanced view of market potential, sustainability, in house capacity utilization and provides a real time estimate of overall cost to do a feasibility study.

2) The canvas has user friendly predesigned icons with drag and drop functionality that can be embedded in the canvas to constitute the components used to build the optimum end-product through iterative design.

3) Represents the end-to-end flow of the manufacturing aspects of the main product with detail link to the sub products if the sub product has a design of its own with further sub-components, activity needed and other elements.

4) The products can be further broken down and captured with detail design for all the parts that are identified as manufactured products and to the extent that the engineers intend to have a detail of.

5) The canvas establishes the details of the material needed, activities needed, resources needed and the sequence of operations that need to be performed.

6) Each part is identified through a distinct drag and drop icon that will represent as a material, labor, overhead or tooling along with specifications of details like nature of material, thickness, heat factor etc.

7) Nature of the icon selected will auto update be the BOM / routing / Machine/ overhead / tooling for the given main product. The sub product products also can have a BOM / routing etc. of its own and will follow the same process to update BOM / routing etc.

8) All the products can be categorized into manufactured part, transferred part (if manufactured in sister plant), purchase part or sub-contracted part.

9) The canvas has a native ability to fetch latest purchase price of material identified as procured parts from top 5 most reliable sub-contractors / vendors rated.

10) Each activity in the canvas will be identified to a machine / resource needed, effort involved and skill level of the worker and associate the activity cost based on the optimum productivity.

11) Material needed to manufacture the material will be optimized through nesting process.

12) Model and simulate through regenerative process and adopt each change in the design causing an auto update in the BOM / Routing / Tooling / OH.

13) Enable AI and ML to Identify sub products that can be manufactured through additive manufacturing which will optimize the manufacture of the product.

14) This regenerative process will enable the architect to visualize product with an optimum design and cost.

15) Consistency of specification of material achieved across the plant and organization.

16) Design of each manufactured sub product is maintained and can be called in every main product this sub part is used.

17) The canvas has an inbuilt ability to fetch latest purchase price of material identified as procured parts from top 5 most reliable sub-contractors / vendors rated.
