The Lipofilltech bioabsorbable implant, created for breast lipofilling surgeries (autologous fat transfer), combines advanced 3D printing technology with bioabsorbable fibers. This temporary support optimizes the integration of transferred tissue. (https://www.lipofilltech.com)

Both the implant and its integration method hold a US patent. Developed and patented by an experienced plastic and reconstructive surgeon, the Lipofilltech implant embodies cutting-edge medical technology and expertise.

Manufacturing Process

The Lipofilltech implant is manufactured using advanced 3D printing technology. It uses bioabsorbable fibers such as polylactic acid (PLA), derived from 100% renewable resources like corn and wheat, and polycaprolactone (PCL), a biodegradable and non-toxic polyester. These materials ensure the biocompatibility and safety of the implant, allowing for gradual and natural integration with breast tissue.

Implant Placement (Patented Method)

The implant can be positioned in two primary areas, depending on the specific needs and goals of the procedure:

Retromammary Space: The implant is placed behind the breast tissue and in front of the pectoral muscle. This position minimizes postoperative pain, as it does not require cutting the pectoral muscle, and is ideal for patients with sufficient breast tissue, providing a natural appearance.

Submuscular Space: The implant is placed beneath the pectoral muscle, fully covered by it. This method provides additional support and is suitable for patients with thinner breast tissue. It also improves the contour and projection of the breast, offering more defined and aesthetic results.

Bioabsorption Process

The Lipofilltech implant is designed to gradually degrade and be absorbed by the body. This process begins approximately two weeks after surgery and can continue for over a year. The quasi-lattice structure of the implant facilitates the infiltration of blood vessels into the transplanted adipose tissue, ensuring its long-term viability. As the implant degrades, the conective tissue and blood vessels gradually replace it, maintaining the breast's shape and volume naturally and stably.

Volume and Projection

The implants offer projections ranging from 1.18 to 2.64 inches ( 30 mm to 67 mm) and arcs from 2.17 to 3.66 inches ( 55 mm to 93 mm ), with a maximum volume of 280 ml. This variety allows surgeons to customize results to meet the specific needs of each patient, ensuring an appropriate contour and projection for a natural and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

To achieve volumes greater than 280 ml, additional fat grafting procedures can be performed every six months until the desired volume is reached. This gradual approach allows for the safe and effective integration of the transplanted fat, guaranteeing durable and patient-specific results.

Advantages of the Lipofilltech Implant

  • Biocompatibility: Made from safe and compatible materials, reducing the risk of adverse reactions.ç
  • Customization: 3D printing technology allows for the adjustment of the implant's volume and shape to meet the specific needs of each patient.
  • Natural Results: The gradual degradation of the implant and its integration with surrounding breast tissue ensure a natural look and feel.
  • No Removal Surgery Required: Unlike silicone implants, the Lipofilltech implant degrades naturally and does not require surgical removal.
