Power in rotating machines is the product of torque and angular velocity. Present day machines are low torque and high angular velocity machines. CHALASANI TURBINE is a very high torque and low angular velocity machine. Wheel and axle mechanical advantage is a well known concept.

CHALASANI TURBINE is designed with center of gravity above center of buoyancy with a specific gravity of 0.25. This is known as unstable equilibrium in fluid mechanics. If a small force is applied on one side of the floating vessal like a boat, the couple of center of gravity and center of buoyancy make a rotating couple. So the vessal sinks. So no body uses this principle in the design of floating vessals. CHALASANI TURBINE is a completely closed cylindrical vessal with the shaft at the center. Small blades are weld on the circumference of the turbine with equal distance between any two blades.

We have designed a water holding system with two pits and inter connecting channel. CHALASANI TURBINE is fixed at the center of inter connecting channel. A small arc shaped plate is fixed at bottom of the turbine in the inter connecting channel so that the blades move only in the arc shaped plate. Water is filled in the water holding system from a well or a canal to the required level. We install a pump in one end of the water holding system. This pump sucks water from one end and delivers at the other end. water flows through the channel and reaches the suction point.

We have done the experiment with 1 m dia and 1 m length turbine. Pumps sucks 40 lps and delivers at the other end. Same water flows through the channel and reaches the suction point. In our experiment water height in the channel is 0.25 meters and width of the channel is 1 m. If there is no turbine kinetic energy of water is 0.51 watts. When the turbine is fixed also the water reaches the suction point as the turbine rotates. We have calculated the shaft power which is 50 watts. In other words it is 100 times magnification. By increasing the diameter and water flow rate we can generate hydro power at the place of demand like a village, town or industry. Decentralized hydro power generation at the cheapest prices is possible. HYDRO DYNAMICS WITH CHALASANI TURBINE will replace THERMODYNAMICS.

The problem of global warming will be solved and a new phase in human civilization begins. THE LAW OF ENERGY MAGNIFICATION HAS TO BE WORKED OUT WITH INCREASED DIAMETER AND FLOW RATES OF WATER.

IF CHALASANI TURBINE IS USED IN THE EXISTING HYDRO POWER STATIONS, OUTPUT WILL INCREASE PHENOMENALLY FOR THE GIVEN FLOW OF WATER.
