Urbanization is a fast-growing process worldwide, In Urban centers the annual wastewater generation is around 72,368 MLD, double the amount produced in rural areas. Of the enormous amount generated, only one-third is being reused because of the slow process and the treatment plans have failed to meet quality standards that assure human health safety. Traditional methods, while effective, often lack real-time monitoring and require overreliance on scheduled maintenance. This inefficiency can lead to wasted resources, increased energy consumption, and potential environmental hazards. Treatment of urban wastewater and recycling it would solve most water scarcity. A technically assisted Urban wastewater treatment plan with advanced biosensors can help to overcome the problem. A consortium is built to degrade the sludge actively followed by the adsorption of Nitrogen, phosphorus, and ammonium by a sorbents-assisted membrane, actively sensed by the biosensors. A submerged filter with a specialized modification for the adsorption or removal of inorganic compounds is built to increase water purity. The consortium, designed to degrade the fecal and other organic wastes releases by-products that can be utilized for further purposes. Biogas is produced as a by-product of this plan that is either used to supply energy to the plan or for other uses. Biosensor data can be used to identify influent characteristics and select or cultivate microbial consortia best suited to degrade the specific pollutants present. The technically assisted plan reduces time consumption 2 times and increases efficiency by 4 times, producing clean water with good quality standards.
