A personal flying vehicle without wings would greatly diminish the need for ground travel. Lifting, flight, and landing power could be supplied with multiple blades that circle the body of the craft between the outer perimeter and an enclosing cover. The angle of these blades could be continuously adjusted to accomplish changes in craft movement.
Basically this is just a relocation of rotors from the outside to the inside of an aircraft. Obviously safety design would be of utmost importance to protect both the vehicle and the occupants.
I apologize for the crude drawing in the attachment, but am somewhat limited in my access to and ability with drawing applications. Hopefully the idea will be conveyed.
Sincerely,
Jan Lemoine
