Traditional dumpers can unload material only at the rear side by hydraulic lifting of metal dump bucket. Some times in narrow lane and small space such dumping may create difficulties for the commuters and other traffic. As an example, it is seen that unloading the reinforced steel bar (rebar) at the rear side is not possible, manual unloading is only way which is time consuming and tiring. We suggest a design of 3 dimensional dumper truck which can dump material such as building material, sand, rebar, road construction material etc.in any available and suitable place of construction either right side of dump bucket, left side of dump bucket or at the rear side as usual.

Design consists of hydraulic lifting rod mechanism at three places. First, at the existing traditional position, the second at the right side of realistic frame body of the truck and third at the left side of realistic frame body of the truck. At each place two sturdy metal lifting hydraulic arms are require for easy lifting of loaded metal bucket. All the three are controlled by internal hydraulic switch system fitted inside the driver’s cabin. For hydraulic lift at one side, say constructional sand to unload at the right side, left side hydraulic actuator to turn on while keeping other two hydraulic systems to keep in non-operative mode (depressed mode). Similarly to lift at rear side of the dumper, both the right and left side hydraulic actuator to disengaged.

Difficulties observed while making a prototype includes fitting of dumper bucket while keeping its movement in all the direction. This may be taken care by fixing dumper bucket on strong steel rod at the truck body and groove at the bottom side of the dumper bucket. This would help for easy movement and tilting of the dumper bucket in all the three directions. Another issue we faced is fixing of hydraulic systems at all the three places. Fixing them at the metal body of bucket does not worked out. Instead free movement of all the actuators solved the issue. Hydraulic actuators require entering the groove at the dumper bucket specially designed for them while in use. Concept design image shows the 3D dumper design tilting at right and left directions.
