Tile Mosaic: Eco-Friendly Tiles Made from Recycled Plastic Waste

Tile Mosaic is an eco-innovative startup that produces high-quality, durable, and affordable construction tiles made entirely from recycled plastic waste. Our goal is to reduce environmental pollution caused by plastic and to offer a sustainable, low-cost alternative to conventional tiles used in construction and renovation.

Traditional ceramic and PVC tiles are often expensive, fragile, and require skilled labor for installation. In contrast, Tile Mosaic tiles are impact-resistant, do not break easily, and are designed for fast and simple installation without the need for specialized tools or technicians. They can be applied directly to various surfaces using adhesive glue, making them highly accessible for individual homeowners, construction companies, and public institutions such as schools and kindergartens.

The innovation lies in our material and design: we collect plastic waste, crush it using industrial grinders, melt it with additives in our processing line, and mold it into high-quality tiles. The result is a product that is eco-friendly, functional, and visually appealing—with plans to introduce 3D designs and self-adhesive variants in future versions.

Tile Mosaic not only addresses the urgent global issue of plastic waste management but also creates economic opportunities by reducing the cost of construction materials and providing a green alternative. With a production cost of approximately $1.20 per square meter and a retail price of around $3, our business model offers a high-profit margin while remaining affordable for customers.

We are currently in the prototype stage, with a functional sample developed and early interest shown by both private buyers and local construction firms. Our long-term vision includes scaling production, expanding into regional markets, and licensing the technology globally.

Tile Mosaic is more than a product—it's a circular solution that turns waste into value, reduces environmental impact, and empowers more people to build sustainably.

Yes. We used AutoCAD and SolidWorks for initial tile design and mold modeling, and Adobe Illustrator for product branding and visual presentations. We also plan to use Fusion 360 for simulating mold efficiency and 3D design integration in future versions.
