When using soaker hose for irrigation, efficient section-blocking where one does not wish for water to be released from the hose walls does not exist as a dependable product, or homemade fix. Many jury-rigs are employed, such as wrapping with tapes, clamping on pool noodle sleeves, and a variety of other creative techniques have been employed by gardeners, all with limited success. The limited sealing abilities of all these off-the-shelf products renders them less than perfect and wholly unmarketable for the stated purposes here. The main problem being excess water leakage out of the ends.

Similarly, other than mechanical ends and couplings, reliable methods of garden hose repair don't exist on the market. Like with soaker hose, suffering from the same kinds of failures, insufficiencies, and inefficiencies as liquid seals, tapes, and sleeves concocted by backyard DIYers the wold 'round. Even available heat-shrink tubings have been tried. I tried many brands myself, and all failed under real-life testing. All these methods and materials as they now exist on and off the market or off the shelf, ie: prior art; fail to meet the rigorous requirements of real-life conditions in the use of soaker hose section-blocking, and garden hose repair.

To solve these problems I have created proprietary formulations, methods, and materials to meet all the necessary criteria to create a dependable durable seal for both blanking-off sections of soaker hose, and conventional poly and PVC garden hose repair heat shrink tubing with which to sleeve and seal the desired area of the respective hose.

Those practiced in the art will understand that some of my proprietary solutions address problems of stretch, temperatures, UV blocking, as well as equally strong water sealing and adhesion properties with various materials under pressure. Moreover, the product must be safe, user friendly, and accessible to the average homeowner at a reasonable price point.
