Non-Tipping Dresser

Approximately, 45 children are killed and 1100 are hospitalized annually from furniture tip overs in the U.S.  (CPSC).

The extended baseboard of the HinesLab Non-Tipping Dresser creates a freestanding dresser that can be rearranged like any other furniture without leaving holes in the walls.

The goal is keeping kids safe, not finding ways to attach dressers to walls.

When a child climbs on a dresser, the center of gravity moves forward.  If the center of gravity moves forward of the front feet, the dresser falls over.  The HinesLab dresser uses a baseboard that extends beyond the center of gravity, preventing tip overs.

The Non-Tipping dresser creates a free-standing dresser that will not tip from the weight of heavy drawers and a child.  This claim cannot be made about any other dresser.  The baseboard extends no more than an open drawer.
