A number of tactile methods were implemented for use by blind people since Braille alphabet was invented. Braille alphabet is difficult to recognize by average person.

This document describes mechanical implementation of electronic displays used in numerous devices such as calculators, public displays, etc. The display has 14 segments that can be used to form most common characters in Western alphabets.

The first picture presents all characters of alphabet that can be created with 14 segment displays.

The second picture shows 14 segments used to form a single character.
