SmartBath is a portable and modular medical device designed to improve the quality of life for bedridden individuals by enabling safe and ergonomic bed baths at home or in institutional care. It integrates real-time biomedical monitoring (ECG, temperature, heart rate) and an innovative hygiene tracking system for home and hospital environments. Through its digital platform, caregivers and healthcare professionals receive actionable data to ensure patient well-being and sanitary conditions. Developed via R&D in Portugal and Brazil, SmartBath addresses key gaps in long-term care by combining hygiene, monitoring, and telecare in one affordable solution. It enhances comfort, dignity, and preventive care—especially for aging populations. The project also drives social impact through job creation, local production, and caregiver training.
