The Sliding Knife Guard is a protective cover for any sharp knife. Unlike any other knife guard it allows you to cut food with the guard on unless it is in the lock position. When you cut into an object the gaurd lifts up allowing the blade to slice through, but once you are finished cutting, the knife slides back into the guard. When you lock the guard it will not slide up revealing the blade. It protects kids from getting cut by the knife when in use or in a drawer. I think that alot of famillies will use this product because every parrent is worried about their kid getting injured by a sharp knife. The Sliding Knife Guard can be sold in kitchen acsesorie stores at a reasonable price. They can be manufactured at a low price because there are little components envolved in my Knife Guard.
