POLYHEDROHELIOTROPE SATELLITE OPTICAL TRACKING
By Panagiotis Stefanides

The proposed model [ PHOTO 1 and 2], when moving in space, is expected to reflect light of Sun rays from its mirrors, which will enable observers on Earth to receive them and track its displacements.

The Polyhedroheliotrope model is based on Invention and Conceptual Design of the “ Generator Polyhedron” [ PHOTO 3] By Panagiotis Stefanides*.

The Polyhedron**, a new invention [ referred to in published book : ISBN 978-618-83169-0-4, National Library of Greece ***, by Panagiotis Ch. Stefanides] of novel aesthetic architectural geometry design configuration, has Contour of dissimilar kinds of Reflecting Light Triangular Mirrors, giving flickering effect signals from Sun rays falling on its Polyhedral Structure.

In total there are 20 Triangular Mirrors of which 12 are Isosceli Triangles [ 52.448, 52.448, 75.10 deg with side lengths approx. 10.2, 10,2, 12.5 cm]

and 8 are Equilateral
[ 60, 60, 60 deg with side lengths approx. 10.2, 10.2, 10,2 cm]

The radius of the sphere circumscribing built model is [based on theoretical value] is approx. equal to 20 cm.
