CarBidet ® Car Bottom Washer

PROBLEM:

Salt and other chemicals rust undercarriage components. Car-bottom rust is dangerous and expensive.

The undercarriage is vulnerable to damage due to lack of care. Salt and mud damage is a safety issue -- many undercarriage components cannot be rustproofed. The greatest need for non-collision car repair results from preventable undercarriage rust.

Undercarriage rust damages the environment by destroying vehicles, wasting money and energy, and squandering resources required to prematurely replace rust damaged vehicles.

Vehicles driven through floodwater are bio-hazards.

Car makers mandate undercarriage washing. They specify that it be done manually, warn of potential injury from sharp undercarriage metal, and threaten to void warranties if such washing is not done.

The undercarriage is the only car surface that is ignored by the do-it-yourself car-care industry, and for good reason -- other than the CarBidet® Car Bottom Washer, no one has developed or patented a viable do-it-yourself undercarriage washing appliance.

SOLUTION:

The CarBidet ® Car Bottom Washer is a low-tech do-it-yourself device that washes undercarriages. It can be used on many kinds of personal and commercial vehicles. It attaches to a garden hose, as per Image #1.

A powerful "V" shaped water jet ejects up from the tip of Car Bidet's ® lower pipe, striking the undercarriage. It dislodges road salt and mud. It wheels under a car and tilts sideways to flush gunk off the backs of wheels.

Pushing the handle down raises its water-ejecting end up into otherwise inaccessible cavities where corrosive salt and mud accumulate, as per Image #2.

The angle between Car Bidet ® Car Bottom Washer's hinged pipes adjusts, which changes the handle's height from the ground and is therefore comfortable for tall and short users.

Its two pipes compactly hinge closed when not in use, as per Image #3. It hangs on a wall and fits in a car. It requires minimal retail store display space.

It prevents injuries that are possible when reaching under a car with a hose -- to hands from contact with sharp under-car metal and to backs from bending over.

Undercarriage washing has a positive environmental impact. It preserves vehicles, and thereby conserves money, energy, and other resources needed to prematurely repair and replace rusted vehicles.

Two utility patents, US 6, 247,658 B1 and US 7,806,351 B1, are issued. US Trademark: CAR BIDET ®, 3,034,756, is registered. A website, carbidet.com, includes current intellectual property documents.

Years of research and development, costing thousands of dollars, are behind this washer. The resulting know-how minimizes the remaining work needed to bring it to market. The potential demand for this product is 50 million units. It is best manufactured by injection molding.

Walmart and a firefighting equipment supplier want to sell it.

The compelling CAR BIDET ® trademark is a powerful marketing tool. It adds considerable value to this remarkable business opportunity.

Patent and trademark rights are for sale. The inventor can help with know-how but is not interested in owning a business.
