The main objective of our project is to improve the safety of the public lives and to save time and money.

Time and punctuality are the important factors in aircraft transportation. Since it directly impacts on the cost of flying an aircraft. Over the years both the aircraft manufacturers and operators have implemented many innovative ideas for it. It is estimated that 3.9 billion dollars have been lost annually due to flight delays. Reducing the time of a single flight delay by even 1 minute could save 365 minutes per year considering a flight makes 365 trips per year. Seat belts are important parameters in aircraft due to their safety purpose. But in present aircraft according to our study, it takes close to 5 minutes for the air stewards to manually check whether all passengers have properly fastened their seat belts or not. Our idea solve this time consuming problem by use of automation. According to our design all seat belts will be connected by inductive sensors which directly gives the information to a tablet with the stewards. By this simple innovative solution, the flight attendants need to only check passengers who haven't properly fastened their seat belts.

Aircraft manufacturers have been trying to bring automation inside aircraft to improve customer satisfaction, our idea will support their innovations. Design and manufacturing of our idea is similar to that of advanced car seat belt which is widely available. We have added a feature of collecting data from all seats and giving output to tablet with stewards. Our idea is simple but effective. With overall time reduction we could reduce flight operation time.
