Intended to become industry "first" combination of 1) NOVAlert SMARTag(TM) bio-monitoring seat-belt tag and 2) The Luftcar.com multi-purpose modular Autonomous Air and Road Mobility (AARM) eVTOL (Electrical vertical take-off and landing aircraft).

The NOVAlert wireless seat-belt clip-on tags in the Luftcar will monitor operator's and passengers' cardio-respiratory functions contact-free (through clothing), communicating via low energy wireless Bluetooth with a cloud-connected smartphone.

The Luftcar operator is first a road driver, taking cargo and passengers in the car-like vehicle, ultimately mating with the vertical take-off section, no airfield runway needed. The operator then becomes the pilot.

NOVAlert's operator's seat-belt tag monitors his vital signs to identify and communicate any possible medical emergency for emergency landing decision support.

NOVAlert's passengers' seat-belt smart tags are intended for automatic, reliable, cheat-proof, real-time counting and reporting the number of passengers to comply with the rules of carpools on fast lanes (High Occupancy Vehicles). The tag transmits its Bluetooth ID to the gateway smartphone. The purpose of the inclusion of tags' vital signs serves to make the counting cheat-proof with attempted multiple tags on same person or one or more on a mannequin or a dog.

The Luftcar is an innovative detachable car, an airport-free enabler of: FREEDOM OF FLIGHT; LAST MILE DELIVERY; EMERGENCY RESPONSE; DISASTER RELIEF; HOMELAND SECURITY / DEFENSE; TOURISM.

The combination of the two technologies opens up a new era of transportation safety, less pollution, jam-proof transportation.

The car/eVTOL image below is for illustration only. Seat-belt tag is not shown, it is a clip-on thin box.

NOVAlert and Luftcar are independent companies planning to introduce NOVAlert's bio-monitoring tags as added-value to Luftcar eVTOLs.
