Transportation

All Electric Commuter Vehicle (AECV) practicality depends on recharging the battery. Current charge/density battery technology limits the commutation distance to around 100 miles.

The AECV that I envision will run on a roadway (interstate highways and primary roadways) that have implanted electromagnets, providing electric charge by magnetic induction.

The electromagnets are powered by wind turbine/solar cell combination pylons, spaced about a mile or two apart (depending on current requirements), all along the roadway.
In this way, the battery is only needed when turning off the highway and onto secondary roads.

This system could be further enhanced when (and if) ambient temperature superconductors are developed.
