A jackknife occurs when a truck and the trailer it is carrying, begin sliding in a rotating motion with respect to one another as the tractor and trailer fold up against one another. Although jackknifes occur most often on slippery roads, they can occur at any time due to over-braking, overly sharp turning, or over-accelerating.
This Anti-Jackknife system uses another braking system at the pivot end of truck and trailer at which each are connected. When braking is applied it locks pivot end and Wheels at the same time so that trailer is prevented from rotating along pivot. This systems works has normal braking system.
