ROAD CONSTRUCTION...... ROAD CONSTRUCTION..... ROAD CONSTRUCTION....

Do these words frustrate you? It frustrates all of us because ROAD CONSTRUCTION means traffic blockage and waste of time, gas and money.

Problem:
During road construction one lane is closed and its traffic has to merge with the other open lane. This causes long traffic blockages and traffic moving inch by inch.

Solution:
The solution to this problem is simple. There should be one traffic signal for "EACH" lane. These signals should be synchronized to turn "GREEN" alternatively for 1 minute. There should be traffic cones placed between these two lanes so that no cars can change lanes. That's it!!! Simple!!!

Results:
For example, if one "merge" takes 15 seconds, then 8 cars can pass through the construction zone in 1 minute.

For example, "Lane-A" is open for 1 minute and 20 cars can pass through in 1 minute. Then "Lane-A" is closed and "Lane-B" is open and another 20 cars can pass through.

In this way we can keep the traffic moving and save lot of frustration, time, gas and MONEY..... and everybody will be happy!!!

Enjoy!

Thanks for considering my solution.
