Very high magnetic fields (>1 Tesla) are needed to operate Magnetic Resonance Scanners. The equipment (superconductors coils or rare earth permanent magnets) which generates such fields are one of the reasons for the high cost of the scanners. In this project a toroidal shaped ultra-capacitor with counter rotating plates is proposed as a high magnetic field source for medical equipments. Instead of producing the field using very high currents in superconductive coils, or using expensive rare earth magnets, the physical rotating motion of the usually static charge is proposed as the field's source. Ultra-capacitors are able to store huge amounts of charge under low (e capabilities of current technologies using ultra-capacitors with counter rotating plates.
