Noise is sound that is loud, unpleasant, or undesired. It exists everywhere either at your home, or on a street. Imagine if noise could be transferred into useful energy such as electricity… What if energy created by noise could be stored for future use? We no longer need to have fuel to energize the vehicle. Household electrical devices could make use of noises to generate power. Noise is known to be a wasted energy. For example, banging on doors; or when your love one is snoring, that makes a good example of noise.
Noise Energizer is a device that produces electricity through noises. It collects elastic or potential energies from multiple Noise Collectors, and transforms them into electricity through electromagnetic induction. Initially, these Noise Collectors are placed in noisy places. Besides collecting noises, Noise Collectors are also noise storage cells because noise energy collected is converted into elastic energy through a set of springs.
Noise Collector consists of noise sensors, springs and springs locking mechanism, while Noise Energizer contains microprocessor, springs releasing mechanism and permanent magnet. Noise sensors are sensitive plates that pick up mechanical vibrations. The vibration energy detected by noise sensors will be transferred to multiple springs. These springs will extend in proportional to the amplitude of the noise. The louder the noise is, the longer the spring will be elongated i.e. increasing of potential energy. These springs will only be moving in the elongated direction. The springs will continue to do so in correspond to the noise input until their maximum elasticity. This is when the Noise Collector is considered fully charged.
One or multiple Noise Collectors can be plugged-in to the Noise Energizer to start the energy releasing process. More cells mean more energy to be produced. Whenever the User is ready, springs releasing mechanism inside the Noise Energizer is triggered to remove the springs from their elongated to relaxing mode. Permanent magnets located inside the Noise Energizer will correspond to the springs releasing motion in the Noise Collectors to induce electromotive force (EMF) or voltage drop across the spring terminals. According to Faraday’s Law of induction, when the springs are released, movement of the spring changes the magnetic flux, and therefore creates EMF. The springs play the role of inductors. Having voltage drop means electricity could be produced just like batteries.
