Automotive pontoon

The idea is to take the workings of a vehicle and use them to drive on water. All the scales in the drawing are just a guess. It seems to me though that instead of a propeller a track should be used to poke into the water to push the vehicle along. The steering then is connected to the tracks in this front wheel drive version portrayed. Also the front pontoons will steer.

If anybody uses this idea I would love to see the outcome and maybe enjoy some of the benefits.
