HYBRID “RMS” TRIKE FOR
PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PEOPLE
With the motive of serving society with engineering concepts, we have designed and fabricated a Three Wheeler (2 wheels @ front) named TRIKE with there following features:
• Operates on Solar energy/Battery power
• Reduced 3-Wheeler Accident Ratio
• Reverse Direction of Motion specially designed for physically challenged
• ANTI-TOPSY-TURVY VEHICLE
• Good shock & vibration control
• Improved balancing design
• Eco-friendly & easily repairable vehicle
Vehicle is operated by Hub Made - BLDC Motor powered by 4 Nimh(nickel metal hydride batteries) & it will last for 10 years. Batteries are charged by 4 Solar Panels (80W each @ 30'c) & also can be charged manually in absence of sunlight. Excellent battery backup, which operates continually for 100km, when charged for an hour with the speed of 40 Kmph. The Battery has no maintenance & no repairs to be carried out throughout the lifetime.
Improved Balancing Design with two wheels at front (driven) and a wheel at the rear (driver). The front wheels are steered through pit-arm steering mechanism designed on the basis of reducing the drifting force during steep turn which enhances the safety at greater speeds. Optimum balancing distance between front wheels (800mm)
Foot Rest frames are specially designed & It can balance laterally up to 150 kg of weight, even it is placed at any side
Reverse direction is introduced in our vehicle, obtained by changing the poles of the power supply in hub motor which helps during some critical situations like traffic and accidental zone. Specially designed BLDC motors are used for Null fluctuation & Reverse motion.
Specially designed Pulse Width Modulation Controller has be used for easy charging & dis-charging of battery both in solar energy/manual mode. The controller can deliver zero power (when the bike is stopped), full power (when the driver turns the accelerator) or any level in between them.
The Aero dynamic resistance was calculated by Ra=0.02688AV2

EASY FOR MANUFACTURING:
- High Stability Ratio(Strength to weight Ratio)
- Lower costs enable poor peoples to buy a safer vehicle
- tubular frames were welded and it was fitted to chassis.
- The hub motor was placed in the rear wheel of the vehicle for direct drive mechanism for maximum propulsion and efficiency.
-Trike has very less transmission loss, easy power recharging, automatic overload protection and employs more safety.
