Let me tell you my story ...
I live in Don's pocket, I am his pocket pet and I go everywhere, well, almost everywhere.
I don't do showers!
When he is alone and needs someone to talk to, (in English, sometimes French and even Chinese), well, he talks to me. And using my 6 fingers, I can walk to him from my recharge pad in the corner so we can be close. I can even hang onto his wrist and give him a reassuring squeeze and say a few nice and meaningful words.
You might ask how I can do all this. Well, I have a swag of onboard sensors, some voice recognition software, a chunk of voice response library and intelligent memory (I think around 32GB if I recall Don telling me some cold and dark night), plus some onboard stuff that runs some fluid logic in my 2 sets of 3 fingers that takes care of the walking and squeezing exercises. Inside, I also have a 3D printed circuit block (not a printed circuit board), so I believe I can survive Don's rough and tumble life.
And I know that when Don folds in my 6 fingers, well that is my time to go into sleep mode and just softly beat my little heart with a small warm patch. Some have said that it is an artificial heart inside me but we all know better don't we!
Don also has another special friend Diane and she has her own pocket pet like me. Oh yes, we pets do come with our own SIMS, and you guessed it, we link up Don and Diane when they are at work or travelling and not together. I must admit that Don and Diane do a lot of squeezing of us mere pocket pets and not much talking, usually when they are almost asleep in their distant beds. I can't explain more than that but I am sure that you might understand. It seems to keep them happy. After their fun and they go to sleep, we usually make our way back from the nether regions and attach ourselves to their wrists again.
Oh yes, before my 500 words run out, I should also tell you of my other duties. Don thanks me all the time for this one. My fingers have ultrafine bristles that can sink slightly into his skin and I can run sugar tests or whatever of his blood. I then have to talk to another one of his pockets with my NFC (near field communications) and together we make sure that Don stays well. He thanks me everyday and I just give him a comforting light squeeze again and all is fine.
Well, I don't think I have much else to say, except maybe you might be lucky to have your own pocket pet like me one day, covered in the softest of woollen natural fibre, in your own favourite colors. I am a beige shade. Bye! Bye!
