PROJECT DESCRIPTION

OBJECTIVE:

The project aims at combining the designs of an earth mover as well as a robotic arm so as to provide flexibility in its working environment. A multi axis arm on the head of the earth mover helps in easy removal of debris from unreachable corners of a construction site.

IMPLEMENTATION METHODOLOGY:

The basic design of a modern earth mover has a head that can rotate with on the body of the earth mover. In this design however there is a separate rotating head replacing the conventional head of the earth mover. This head acts separately so as to achieve a multi axis rotation.

APPLICATION:

• Multi Utility earth mover designs can be produced.
• Lifting of objects at any axis can be achieved.

BASIC EXPLANATION OF THE PROJECT:

The robotic arm is used to pick and place objects with a 360 degree rotating capability because its having crane and gripper clamping. Control is through a wired remote. Movement is through various motors placed at different positions to perform the needed operations of an earth mover. The models are powered through a 12 volt D.C plug in adapter. The robotic arm is built by using scrap materials, motors and gears taken from old watches etc. The robotic arm has a rotating head apart from its 360 degree rotating arm.
