My concept proposes a dust bin called I bin which can sort out different type of waste that is put into it using innovative methods.
Most of the waste that is found in a public waste box has a bar code. This bar code can be used to sort out waste as well. For products without bar codes there are different switches to select the type of waste. If it is a soft drink can you select metal waste and the waste is collected in the metal collecting container of the bin.
The user can either show the bar code of the waste to the scanner of the I bin or select the type of waste using switches.Then the lid automatically opens and the user inputs the waste.
The I bin is powered using solar panels found on the top of the I bin.
The working is explained using the pictures attached.
The waste enters through the waste entry port, when the user scan the bar code of the waste or select the type of waste using the switch, the hole in the circular disc aligns itself just above the waste collecting container of the selected waste type.The motor is controlled using a micro controller so that it aligns properly.Hence when the users puts the waste the waste gets dropped in the appropriate waste collecting container.
The memory of the I bin can be updated as well, when new products with new bar codes are launched in the market.
As the whole waste is sorted out in the collecting box at the bottom of the I bin when the cleaning staff comes they just have to remove the lower box to see the sorted out waste and the waste can be collected quickly.
