To Design a product for children that can help strengthen their communication and interaction skills with family and friends
Children ages 8-10 that are into outdoor activities and learning about nature but get sucked in at home by video games, tablets, and computers, losing physical interactions with friends and family members.
The Explorer is a pair of binoculars with GPS capabilities for outdoor adventures. When going on a hike or traveling with a friend, the binoculars can be separated into two halves, encouraging learning and exploring together.
-ABS plastic bodies
-USB charge port
-Vinyl neck straps
-Image and GPS processors
The Explorer can help motivate users seek out the fun outdoors while GPS location data facilitates learning about unknown places. When separated in two halves, The Explorer encourages bringing a buddy along to share the experience with.
The Explorer can be used for learning about landmarks, architecture, hiking trails, and for traveling.
