Often in our life we come across people with upper limb amputation. They face many troubles in performing chores of their daily life. The present assistive techniques available in the market are either only for cosmetic purpose or mechanical that is bulky and is highly expensive. Our goal is to provide a prosthesis that is easily operable through voice inputs, light-weight and uses wireless communication.

The assistive hand is controlled by a microcontroller unit and used with the help of an android app. Initially the Bluetooth is activated in the phone. By switching on the power supply the Bluetooth module on the assistive hand also gets activated. When the instructions are given by the person, the voice is recognised by the application and the microcontroller controls the servo motors which drive the fingers according to the commands.

Our project helps upper limb amputees to hold the objects and make them independent in living. It is also a low cost, easy to manage and light weight prosthesis.
