THE PALM AVIATION KEROSENE BIO FUEL
The Palm Aviation Kerosene Bio Fuel and the Palm kerosene bio fuel exhibit, mixture of methyl can produce a low pour point which will make the fuel useable and reach the world standard. The fuel is produced from the palm kernel oil and a petroleum product at a ratio. The bio fuel causes less air pollution and is effective. The production cost is relatively low because it does not involve expensive machinery and equipments. The fuel works very well.
The flash point falls within the limit of the world standard:-
1. Aviation/Jet Kerosene fuel:- 30C-66C
2. Kerosene fuel:- 38C---72C

The inventions fall within the world set standard. The World needs to look for alternative source of energy because of global warming. In Nigeria, air flight is costly because of aviation fuel,but if palm kerosene fuel could be used putting en to 100% dependant on petroleum derived kerosene,it would be of great value to Nigeria economy.
Acetals which have a flash point according to the kerosene specification and advantageously a low viscosity make it possible to establish the viscosity required for the fuel. Acetals increase the cetane number and some mixtures of acetals and triglycerides have cetane numbers which are considerately above those encoutered, which then leads to better combustion of the fuel with less emission, the acetals suitable for the invention are biodegradable. The setting point and the cold filter plugging point value achieved withh the acetals/triglyceride mixture are lower than those achieve withh repeseed oil methylester. The ireregular production of palm kernel oil does not allow us to take note of the wealth our country can get in producing bio fuel and the stage it will take us to in the World market.
THE PALM AVIATION KEROSENE BIOFUEL IS BETTER THAN THE PETROLEUM DERIVED AVIATION KEROSENE FUEL BAECAUSE THER IS NO SULPHUR, NITROGEN AND AROMATIC CONTENTS, ALL THE DANGEROUS GAS WAS WITHDRAWN FROM THE ATMOSPHERE DURING THE GROWTH OF THE PALM TREE, HENCE IT IS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, LESS AIR POLLUTION AND LAST LONGER BECAUSE IT DOES NOT DRY OFF QUICKLY.
