The Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a disease in which your breathing stops unconsciously while sleeping, generating serious problems that affects the quality of life of adults and children: respiratory disorders, heart diseases, cognitive disadvantages, among others.
At UMAQ we are developing a solution that allows to discard the disease with a high percentage of effectiveness, decreasing significantly the costs of diagnosis.
How does it work?
Our device captures, from the comfort of the patient's own bed, sleep signals (EEG, EOG, chin EMG and oximetry), breathing signals (Air Flow and RIP belt) and movement signals (leg movement), which are later transmitted to the cloud wirelessly and processed online by our algorithm, which delivers a pre-diagnosis to the patient and to the treating doctor, allowing to discard the disease with high effectivieness.
The portability of our device will allow the patient to realize the test from the comfort of his/her house, avoiding spending the night at the hospital.
LOWER DIAGNOSIS COSTS
UMAQ’s test allows patients and companies to discard the disease with high efficidency, which means discarding the need of a polisomnography in a big number of cases.
Our cloud technology will allow both patients and doctors access to the results using a friendly platform and, to doctors, access to the signals captured as well.
LOW COST DEVICE
Our device proposes a new concept in this kind of technology. Using universal connectors, it allows sleep centers to decide which sensors they want to buy and at which price, reducing their costs.
