Nowadays people are destroying nature by overusing natural resources and dumping the waste back to the nature. This waste mismanagement contributes drastically to global warming. As the world population is continuously increasing, the accumulation of waste is also becoming a catastrophic problem making relevant management solutions more challenging. The purpose of this project is to make a robot which can perform the very beginning level of waste management. The biggest mistake people make is that they never throw correct waste in the correct dustbin. Basically ‘segregation’ is what we need to focus on, so we will segregate waste into two categories: bio-degradable and non-bio degradable. With the help of various sensors like capacitive sensors which are used for non-Bio degradable objects (plastic, glass and so on), people need not have to wait for the waste picker to come and collect waste. Every robot will be present in the society at a specific location which will move in a desired path from the source to destination. It will collect waste from people to people and segregate the waste and will dump at the desired container respectively. This project has an auto lid system which will cover the dustbin properly and open it when we need to throw waste with the help of an infrared sensor.

Hence several diseases can be prevented like malaria, dengue etc. Rodents are no longer a problem to the society. Foul smell from the waste will also be prevented. When there will rain and wind the waste will no longer be littered around the road, basically solving the issue of open dumping. So, our very basic mission “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” is the motto for this project.
