The Hybrid CoAxial Engine is an advanced development of the previous entry from 2015 that provides further improvements of the design of the CoAxial Engine. The design presents an integration between the CoAxial Engine and an electrical machine. Presently, the conventional Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) work together with electrical machines (generators or motors) in the same power plant system as separate units. It will be much more feasible and cost effective if they could be simply integrated in one unit. This unique opportunity is given only through CoAxial Engine.

The rotor of the electrical machine (4) is attached to the tubular cam (5) of the CoAxial Engine and the stator (2) is installed in the engine casing (1). In this way, if the CoAxial engine is intended for an Electrical Hybrid Vehicle, then the vehicles hybridization is realized in a most easy and natural way. In this way the integrated electrical machine is output device if it works as a generator. Alternatively, the integrated electrical machine can be used also as starting motor for the CoAxial engine and thus no need of extra one. Furthermore, the above-mentioned integration provides cost savings since the electrical machine do not need its own casing and bearing – the CoAxial engine just shelters the electrical machine. Based on the suggested integration, efficiency improvement will be achieved because less friction components will be utilized.

Three pictures are attached the CoAxial Engine Overview, kinematics and stator (2) installation.

Three operation regimes are possible:

  1. Pure mechanical output
  2. Pure electrical output
  3. Combined mechanical and electrical output.

Thus Hybrid CoAxial Engine can promote rapid propagation of hybrid EV and contribute for the carbon print reduction caused by transportation.
