ABSTRACT

The EDU-Book an instrument created to serve the student for the purposes of basic and extended learning in Mathematics, Languages and Critical Thinking. Other subjects may be included at the users' and teachers' options. The device is not game oriented. EDU-Book makes use of Adobe pdf files with optional audio prompts and excerpts. The system is interactive and completely education oriented. The device is WiFi compatible and operates from a new battery which is permanent for the life of the device. The EDU-Book utilizes a rear-projection super VGA display with updatability choices in processing power and display memory and speed to support CAD and other highly graphic applications that are oriented towards CAD. A special rechargeable keyboard that retracts similar to a window shade, operates detached from the main unit up to two feet and is keyed only to that base unit, it may not be shared. In addition, a wireless headphone is also provided that is similarly keyed to the base unit it may not be shared. Operation is extended for the base unit up to twelve hours and the keyboard and headphone, similarly. Operation of the peripheral devices is completely wireless. The devices are recharged when attached properly to the base unit.

A Unit is to be priced less than $600. US

1: The keyboard mounts are passively magnetically locked to the case. This lock may be released, and the posts moved onto the opposite of the case through a screen command.

2: The Keyboard Case holds the keyboard, which pulls out flat, which subsequently rolls back up. A slight tug on the extruding keyboard edge, which will release the mounts (1), next pull out a fullfunction tacitly felt wireless keyboard. To return the keyboard case to the mounts simply allow the keyboard to roll up then place the keyboard case onto the mounts (1) properly, which shall lock the keyboard case to the mounts. Otherwise the keyboard case serves as the unit carrying handle and a lock station for the headset (3).

3: The Wireless Headphones each which incorporate a microphone. Each earphone has its own battery, which is charged while the headphone is secured to the keyboard case, and the case is mounted in its holders. A tactile band conforms to any size head to place the earphones properly. The high-gain microphones are located on the bottom of each headphone.

4: The dual-core processor insures fast display. The new Thermo-Electronic battery provides
lifetime support for the unit and is recharged electromagnetic ally from the charger unit. Display memory and processors may be easily upgraded.

5: The super VGA touch screen display in projected upon a rear screen, which has a durable
capacitive touch screen, overlaying it to provide a well protected operational touch screen.
