A ready to fly C.O.T.S. surveillance drone, packed inside a specialized waterproof pressure resistant container, is launched from a submarine to the ocean surface where it can then fly away to its pregrogrammed mission destination. The specialized cyldrical container fits within the submarine’s torpedo launching tube where it is launched from the submarine by a burst of compressed air. The container is comprised of an elongated cylindrical outer shell, a battery weight at its back-bottom end, empty space filled with air and wall supports in its middle, a drone launching pad fixed to the outer container shell wall, a muliblade radio controlled copter-drone with camera, an air sensor, several timers, and an ejectable spring loaded waterproof cover at its front-top end. When the conrainer reaches the water surface, it floats vertically with its front-top end hemispherical dome cover sticking up a distance from the water surface safe from waves, Its cover is held closed covering the drone and opened via a motorized latch. The spring loaded cover is ejected when when a gear-motorized latch pin is withdrawn. A seesaw floatation sensor (air sensor) detects when the vertically floating container emerges and sticks out from the surface of the water two feet. The sensor starts a timer which triggers the ejection of the top cover leaving the drone sitting on top of the lunching pad at the top of the vertically positioned container sticking two feet out of the water. The battery weight at the bottom of the cylinder, acting like a keel, keeps the cyliinder vertical. The ejection of the cover starts the launch of the drone and activates motorized hold-down latches to be withdrawn releasing the drone to fly away. The cover ejection also energizes a gear motor which removes stopper plugs from the walls of the cylinfer letting water in. The disposeable launching pad with its cylindrical container sinks forever while the disposable drone carries out its GPS guided preprogrammed mission. Data captured by the drone’s camera or other sensors is sent by radio/phone over military frequencies to a satellite.

The drone dives into the sea after the mission or otherwise self-destructs. The submarine and crew sped away a while ago without surfacing. A drone capable of being launched and then able to land on water floating on its surface, can take off from the water many times while providing long range aerial views transmitted back to a small floating antenna wire attached to the submarine. It could also be made to sink on command or fly by remote control rather han preprogrammed flight. Multiple independent retargetable drones can also be launched simultaneously or in succession. Submarines need the external vision that these submarine launched vehicles provide.
