ICE(internal combustion engine)are very highly developed machines. Today any improvement in the efficiency is needed to extend the supply of limited resources.
Modern ICE engineers have developed every part but one the valve that connects the atmosphere to the combustion chamber.
At the present time the simple poppet valve used in modern ICE has never been challenged seriously. The design is so entrenched it is being used multiply in some high performance engines.
The coaxial valve is next. Using all the evolution of the poppet plus adding one more on the same axis we came up with the simple design of the atent.
Flow tests show improvement in flow plus the design reduces the mass of the poppet allowing higher speed.
