This was designed keeping the differently enabled people in mind. Objective of project is to design a new mechanism which climbs the stairs.

It works on the principle that on the rotation of a specially designed tri-axial frame the wheelchair climbs stairs without any external aid. The rotation of the frame is triggered by a sprocket and bush chain which is simply fabricated as in the case of a bicycle.

It is expected that it would be used as a prototype and will be further developed for future use.

I hope that in future, all the wheelchairs will be fabricated with our mechanism attached with it
