Fainne is an Irish word for ring. This is the ring which has the projector in it. It uses Digital Light Processing (DLP) Projector which contains digital micromirror device. In DLP projectors, the image is created by microscopically small mirrors laid out in a matrix on a semiconductor chip, known as a Digital Micromirror Device (DMD). Each mirror represents one or more pixels in the projected image. The number of mirrors corresponds to the resolution of the projected image. 800×600, 1024×768, 1280×720, and 1920×1080 (HDTV) matrices are some common DMD sizes. These mirrors can be repositioned rapidly to reflect light either through the lens or onto a heat sink (called a light dump in Barco terminology).
Rapidly toggling the mirror between these two orientations (essentially on and off) produces grayscales, controlled by the ratio of on-time to off-time.Since our projector conatins single DLP chip it produces color with the help of color wheel placed between a white lamp (white light source) and the DLP chip.
The DLP chip is synchronized with the rotating motion of the color wheel so that the green component is displayed on the DMD when the green section of the color wheel is in front of the lamp. The same is true for the red, blue and other sections. This is the about the the working of the projector.
Now the ring will be connected to the smart devices with the help of bluetooth module as it is widely used in many devices including smartphones, laptops etc. As soon as the bluetooth connection is made the ring will project the screen of the device with which it is connected on whichever surface user wants. This will help the user better navigation on the map. This projector will help in better presentation of pictures and videos among friends.
he ring also contains a mini camera which helps in taking still pictures by placing the hand on the chest with palm facing the chest. It will substantially reduce the effect of shivering of hand. A better selfie can be obtained through the ring camera. User can take pictures while his phone still in pocket.
And, the color of the ring will indicate if there is any miss call or any unread message which will be achieved by two different colored LEDs. Now even if you are in a different room other then your phone you will get to know that you have a message or a phone call.
