This is a conceptual design for a nanomotor driven attachment used in low flow shunts. The motor itself is driven from natural proteins found in the body, and produces fluid flow gentle enough to guide excess fluid in the brain to the shunt and through a traditional catheter.

    Several years ago a relative suffered ruptured aneurysms. While the coiling procedure was successful there was significant difficulty getting low levels of fluid from the brain. Recent research in bionano technology inspired the design.
