CubeTech are load sensors for public transportation, especially buses, designed to alert the driver about the number of passengers in that bus. Installed under the seat, it was made for the convenience of the driver to make sure all the passengers are there. Compared to the conventional method, where the driver has to walk along the bus to count the passengers, CubeTech offer an easier way for the driver and less time-consuming. When the passengers had their seat, the signal will appear on the driver’s screen indicating that the seat had been occupied.

A load cell is a sensor or a transducer that converts a load or force acting on it into an electronic signal. This electronic signal can be a voltage change, current change or frequency change depending on the type of load cell and circuitry used. There are many kinds of load cells. We offer resistive load cells.

Resistive load cells work on the principle of piezo-resistivity. When a load/force/stress is applied to the sensor, it changes its resistance. This change in resistance leads to a change in output voltage when an input voltage is applied.

A load cell is made by using an elastic member (with very highly repeatable deflection pattern) to which several strain gauges are attached. From the research done, CubeTech is the first product that provide this kind of technology for public transportation in Malaysia. We believe that our product can go further.
