In the past decade, robotic systems have been used with increased popularity for explosive ordnance (EOD) missions. Advances in robotic technology have made it possible for robots to perform functions previously only possible by human workers wearing a blast suit. The primary advantage of using robotic systems for explosive ordinance disposal/diffusion is reduced risk to humans. The bomb diffusing robot which will help to improve defence of our nation from terrorist, suicide bombers and other such activities. The bomb detectors and disposal system works only with the presence of experts. But this way of analyzing takes more time and make risk to life of experts. The Bomb Disposal Robot uses a control application, at the user end to control the robot remotely using Wireless technology. The bomb technician controls the robot using this application at control site. Input from the user is transmitted over radio to the Receiver, where it is received, identified and given to the appropriate module (Robot) to act. The Robot consists of a Base, a robotic Arm and a wireless camera on it. We have used DC motors for the elbow and the gripper of the multi functional robotic arm. As we are not risking the life of a bomb expert or any other commando. The robot’s low-cost, intuitive operation and ease-of- maintenance promote its widespread appeal, thereby saving the lives of both law enforcement personnel and civilians.

Project synopsis:
The project is about the defusing the bombs layed by the terrorists or the military personnel for testing purpose. The Bombs are dangerous and can cause serious damage for the person who tries to manually defuse the bomb. This is the robot that performs operation done by the bomb defusing squad.

Innovation:
The gripper arm of the robotic arm is smartly designed to hold different told at the same slot. This contains a t section slot which is used to slide the tools. The Tool holder in front of the robotic arm which hold various tools for ease of access for operation.

Social Relevance:
This could be used in the warzones or danger zones with bombs presence. This will save a life i.e. the bomb squad. There is nothing more than saving a life.

Creativity:
The gripper arm is the design to have a tool on it on demand. The tool is found in front to access.

Marketability:
The defense sector is so much interested in automating the operations and reducing the risks of the lives of the soldiers. The army faces challenges on the convey of weapons. This could be used for the surveillance of the path of the convey.
