Utility Boat for Utility Vehicle

Utility vehicles are common in many parts of the world, especially in rural areas. They are used by farmers, conservation companies, fishermen and game bird hunters. They may be supplied with covers for the load deck made from canvas, alloy or fiberglass, their main objective being to provide security and weather tightness to the load. It would seem logical to make such a cover have a secondary useful purpose as proposed here. The design allows either side from the gunwhale to the top edge of the ute's well to be lifted up for access from the sides. When the boat is mounted the rear aspect can be accessed by simply dropping the tail gate. When in place the shape would reduce drag and offer a slight decrease in fuel usage.

When the boat is removed for use the side panels fold down to meet the hull stringer where they are locked in place to provide seats and positive flotation.
