JETX, born in the year 2020 with the idea of developing the next generation of propulsion systems for the Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL’s) flying vehicles market and high-tech, state of the art manned and unmanned flying vehicles of futuristic design.
JETX is researching & developing for the VTOL market propulsions of modular design with vectored thrust mechanisms able to redirect the airflow and the thrust force generated by a single or a group of power sources into a specific direction, to give a vehicle the capacity of perform vertical flight including vertical or short takeoff and landing (VTOL’s/STOL’s) maneuvers according to the arrangement of the propulsion system along the vehicle body.
The system works with many kinds of electric, non-electric and hybrid power sources including bladeless technology and can be used for many kinds of military and civilian flying vehicles developments including UAVs and potentially to create a framework similar to a car chassis that can be used by worldwide auto manufactures to develop “ALL EMBEDDED PROPULSION EVTOL/VTOL FLYING VEHICLES.”
This technology has military and civilian applications. It can contribute to create a technological edge over other countries, promotes sustainability, and has the potential to create high paying jobs.
it consists of providing a power source like an Electric Ducted Fan or Fluidic Thrusters fed by electric or non electric driven air compressors, among others, with vector thrust mechanisms to redirect the accelerated airflow and resulting force (thrust) into specific directions when it is required, making it possible to provide the thrust in a direction that will work for forward flight and then switch the thrust to another direction for vertical flight, without having to rotate the power source, making possible to embed this propulsion completely into a case or inside the vehicle body.
This propulsion can be setup in a single device configuration, or in groups of multiple devices to be distributed along the vehicle body or fuselage, where they can be attached externally or fully embedded on it, a variety of vector thrust mechanism are available to be used to redirect the working fluid in a specific direction: ventral flap, flaps, rotating, bucket, cascade vanes, etc., each with different performance and specification, the developer could choose the most appropriate to be used in the vehicle development, mixed kinds of vector thrust mechanism can also be used in a configuration of a group of devices.
The modular design gives the advantage to the vehicle operator to easily swap, exchange, replace, or remove any module or set in case of failure for maintenance purposes or install upgrade modules, reducing the operation cost of the vehicle., and since it doesn’t rotate, can be fully embedded inside a vehicle body or fuselage presenting additional advantages over other propulsion currently used for the VTOL’s flying vehicle development, like it can be quieter and can be used for the development of low radar signature (stealth) flying vehicles for the military.
